Based in the Waterside area of Rugby, we often use the Black Path around Tesco and Junction One Retail Park. Having been disgusted with the area often being covered in litter and abandoned trolleys, we joined forces with Vicky Murphy of GE Power Conversion through Twitter and together started the campaign Keep Rugby Tidy.
Last Saturday, on the 13th of September, Keep Rugby Tidy had it’s first Big Tidy Up event which saw around 50 volunteers help out to clear up the overgrown weeds, litter and general mess in the area. Compleo Cleaning were delighted to be a part of the big clear up along with employees of other local businesses from Tesco, McDonalds, GE Power Conversion, Junction One and the Rugby Borough Council.
We will continue to commit our efforts towards the Keep Rugby Tidy campaign in order to help tackle areas like the Black Path in Rugby. If you’d be interested in joining Keep Rugby Tidy as a volunteer, please register on the website.
